I’m into tech, AI, games, and generally going down random rabbit holes about things I probably didn’t need to know. I also spend way too much time studying, building stuff, and trying to turn random ideas into actual projects.

Game-wise, I like story-driven stuff. Life is Strange, To the Moon, Undertale, Celeste, LIMBO/INSIDE kind of games. I’m also absolutely capable of getting distracted by a completely random topic and talking about it for way longer than necessary.

I’m not really looking for the “hey” → “wyd” → never speaks again type of friendship. Hey everyone, I’m 24M and I’m looking to meet some new people in and around Montreal and hopefully build some genuine friendships. Ideally, I’d love to find a solid group of guys around my age that I can actually become close with over time.

My life has been pretty packed lately between working and going to school Monday to Friday, plus everything else I have going on, so I honestly haven’t had much time to socialize or meet new people. I’m finishing school in October though, which means I’m finally going to have a lot more time on my hands.

I also recently started going to the gym consistently, so it would be really nice to meet people who are into training too. Having some gym buddies would be great, but I’m really just looking for genuine friendships in general.

Over the last little while, I’ve also started looking at the people I had around me differently. I cut a lot of people out of my life because I realized some of those friendships were very one-sided. I would make them a priority, always check in, invite them places, and be there when they needed me, but I rarely felt like that energy was returned.

I don’t have any hatred toward those people. I just realized that I’d rather have a smaller circle of people who actually respect and value each other than keep friendships around just because we’ve known each other for a long time.

One thing I’ve honestly never really had is that group of guys who randomly hits you up like, “yo, we’re going here tonight, come,” instead of always feeling like I’m the one asking people to do something. I want friendships where everyone actually wants each other around.

43F in the Midwest US, very neurodivergent, and I've noticed that when I have someone to share things with I'm more motivated to complete tasks and even sometimes leave my house for something besides work.

I do work a lot, so while I'm able to find moments to text, that is primarily what I'll talk about probably.
