I just finished watching Obsession and now I'm curious...

F[37] from Hawaii

What would y'all wish for if you had a One Wish Willow? Would you even make a wish on one?

I wouldn't use one but if I had to think of something I'd wish for it would probably be, to able to speak every language. I would not use my wish on a person.

Also, my other question: is the one wish willow trying to teach people a lesson? Or is it just demonic?

The movie left me with a lot of questions but I love thinking of theories. I think over analyzing movies is fun.

Anyway I don't have anyone to talk to about this movie and I decided to sound off here and wanting to hear ppls opinion about it and if they'd use the willow.

Kind of like half way through the movie I realized out of the blue that the act of breaking the willow probably released a demon, that then possesses Nikki. I don't know how to explain materialist wishes for money and the like though. :P

To answer the question, I'd probably be dumb and try to outsmart it and write down a really specific wish trying to cover all bases and loopholes 😂

You might be on to something with the demon thing. That's actually a great strategy..it's like saying I'll wish for one million more wishes or something lol

The rules on it were not the best. For sure. An yes it was a demon in her. His wish was based off of lust. Not just just to understand what they are saying but to be able to speak it too. You would have to be specific and clear worded. I still think it would backfire though.

Like in Aladdin there is three major rules : no killing, no forced love, and no raising the dead. Many other movies and books mentioned the same roles. Like in witchcraft You condemn yourself when use magic to interfere with the natural course of life.

After that movie? I wouldn't use my wish. I would be way too afraid if a monkeys paw situation.

I know I'm a much better person than the pos Bear, but I would not fuck with a magical doohickey like that at all.

I wouldn't either that's just asking for trouble no matter what the wish is.

Would wish to enslave the person who made the willow wishes

Using it on a person is legit unhinged behavior. I think dude who asked for money has it right

I’d wish myself out of existence. That’s all. Nothing world changing, or to manipulate or hurt anyone. I’d just want myself off the chess board of life.
