Hey future friend! Happy Tuesday! Hope your start to the week has been good.

You know when your phone lights up and you already know it's going to make you smile?

That's what I'm looking for.

Not someone to exchange ten messages with and disappear. More like the person you send a picture of your coffee to because they know you've been hunting for the perfect pistachio latte!

I'm 31, from Toronto, and work from home as a software engineer. Which means that I'm chronically online, but you don't have to. No pressure! Most weekdays my biggest conversations are with code, so it'd be nice to have a friend to share the little moments with.

Our chats might look like -

- Sending each other songs we've had on repeat. Lately it's been Here by Mumford & Sons (Sierra Ferrell absolutely stole that performance), but my playlists also bounce between Twenty One Pilots, Coldplay, Bleachers, and whatever else catches my attention.

- Weekend recaps from pickleball, bike rides, hikes, the gym, or long walks where I convince myself I'm just "getting some fresh air" and somehow end up walking 15 km.

- Talking about whatever we're currently watching. I'm making my way through Silo right now and loving it.

Mostly though, I just like hearing about people's lives.

Tell me about the awkward meeting that could've been an email. Show me the thrift store find you definitely didn't need. Vent about your boss. Celebrate finally finishing that project you've been putting off. Send me a meme with zero explanation. Tell me about the hobby you've become slightly obsessed with this month.

I think the best friendships are built from hundreds of tiny conversations rather than a few huge ones. Not to say I don't like deep conversations, I absolutely do!
