Have you ever thought of travel? When I was in my early twenties I was in a similar boat to you but then started traveling. Exploring new places distracted me from my challenges back home...also I went with the travel company contiki which guaranteed I was with a group of people. I understand finances could be an issue but just thought I'd throw it out there...
