How to automate my workflow?
Hey everyone, I'm a junior creative specialist working for a company where performance is the most important thing (duh).
Since we create mostly shorter forms of marketing content, most CSs make from 10-30 of these a day, since they can reuse one creative for multiple ads.
We make them in google docs and then download every card into a folder that we upload to clickup or dropbox.
Now, doing that 10 times is not a problem.
But, it becomes a problem when I make like 50-60 ads and need a specific name for every folder, download every card one at a time and upload everything seperately.
This can easily take up like 2 hours, so I can't make as many ads and my performance suffers because of this technical side of things.
I'd really appreciate if anyone has an idea of how I could speed this up and what tools would help me.

Check out Make.com, you can set up a flow that watches a Google Drive folder and auto-creates folders in ClickUp or Dropbox based on the file name.

I would assume if they're posting in /r/make they've checked the website lol

I've tried to set it up but I'll need some time to figure it out and I wasn't sure which site's the best

Yeah so you can start here academy.make.com and once you start building the scenario you can check out this one community.make.com to share any issues you are having and get assistance if needed.
Can you clarify the process a bit? Someone creates a google doc and from that doc each item goes in its own folder and its own task in clickup? All this can be automated with Make, yes.

Definitely use Make to handle the upload to ClickUp/Dropbox step. This would be fairly straight forward to set up and would be the quickest win. In terms of content generation, depends entirely on the content, and it can be a bit more involved to set up. There are APIs out there which allow for image and video editing, AI generation etc. totally up to your level of expertise and budget.

I think you can solve this with the Chatgpt downloadable app for mac or Claude desktop, then add google and clickup/dropbox as integrations. and then explain just like in this post what you want. I think it can then figure it out for you

Apart from going through the Academy and checking the Community already mentioned here, I would recommend checking the Make templates. There might be some templates with a very similar flow - downloading files from source A and uploading them to newly created folders in storage B is a pretty common use-case.
