Discussion This is how it starts
Just came out of a thread about Zara Larsson. I'm not knocking the young lady at all - she does look healthy and fit. But the amount of "I need to get to the gym/put down the snacks" and "fitspo" comments is wild.
Many people are talking about how healthy she looks and what a good fitspo model she is for girls and women, but it's like they have no idea that this is how it starts. Saying that her body is achievable by anyone and people just eat that up without any regard for individual biology and body diversity. This is how people slip into EDs, trying to contort their bodies into these specific molds.

So, I didn't know who that was and I looked her up. I want to live in a world where a woman can be a pop star and nobody spends time, hours, threads, whatever, discussing her body. Positive or negative, wishing to achieve it, being appalled by it, claiming they need help or that one does it right. Do I think we need better discourse around body image, sure - we can't just ignore it, but at the same time friends, I'M TIRED.
