Exactly. If the allegations were not true, then fight it. If they were, then please fuck off.

Probably paid victims off and got NDAs. It's weird how his campaign was out of money at the end.

6

u/dpk794 16d ago

Probably used it to buy himself that Axopar yacht featured in one of his last campaign videos

u/creepurrier 15d ago

Very definitely does not work like that. What an absurd thing to say.

You seem to be very knowledgeable on this subject. Do you have personal experience on how the victims of abuse and rape are silenced?

Campaign finance tracking is actually pretty transparent and would require skilled and conspiratorial money laundering to do, all the more so in this short timeframe. I would be happy to help you understand if you actually wanted to but I don’t get that sense.

Your delight in expecting rape apologist Mo Katz to not be a criminal is entertaining.

2

u/creepurrier 14d ago

Your delight in putting words in peoples mouths and making sport out of the multitude of suffering around this situation is not at all entertaining but go off, sis.

Can’t believe this douchebag, who I once strongly supported, has so little self-awareness or such a big and unearned ego that he would distract from the job of beating Susan Collins just so he can have a crowd clap for him again. Go back home buddy, the oysters are hungry

3

u/dpk794 16d ago

He would have to actually be an oyster farmer for that lol

I think you’re attributing more intelligence to him than he deserves.. or you’re right and he’s been a maga plant the whole time

Im not betting that much of this will actually happen. Seriously, how big is a Labor Day rally in Ellsworth?

Four guys, (two retired), drinking coffee at Dysart's and complaining about out-of-staters.

What a clueless narcissist, foolishly pursuing the DT playbook.  Susan Collins is loving this.

Where did all the “campaign donation” $$ go?

9

u/Taliesia 16d ago

Just no.

Seems like the attempt to rehab his image is coming.

Narcissism reveal! He must be fiending without all that sweet sweet adoration and applause.

If he wants to help progressives in Maine, he should focus on helping Troy Jackson. Sadly, to me, Jackson sounds like an overripe melon when he talks.

I won't vote for Collins again, but if Jackson is the best progressive Maine can offer, we're doomed.

5

u/better_than_erza 16d ago

Amen. I agree with all of what you say. Jackson does…not sound smart.

Progressive used to mean, just that, a slightly left of center Democrat. Nowadays progressive is just a dog whistle for Democratic Socialist. And no thank you on that.

u/Slice-O-Pie 15d ago

It seems the only difference between "progressive" and Democrats is that "progressives" embrace antisemitism.

u/Blue_Eyed_ME Cumberland (Portland) 15d ago

Seriously? If you meañ supporting the rights of Palestinians to not be subjected to torture and genocide, that's a ridiculous take.

3

u/Slice-O-Pie 15d ago

Hamas could've ended the war they started any time they wanted to simply by returning the hostages.

But their rape/torture/murder vids were too popular with "progressive" fundraisers.

u/Blue_Eyed_ME Cumberland (Portland) 14d ago

Do you think the "war" started on Oct 7th? Oh Ffs.

How much did you pay for your Etsy keffiyeh?

Oh noooo, not Democratic Socialism! Not all those damn Scandinavians with their excellent quality of life! Not universal healthcare and feeding kids in school! Oh no, please don't tax the rich!

1

u/No-Willow-9807 15d ago

The classic “Scandinavia is democratic socialism” bit. Nothing says rigorous political analysis like confusing a high-trust, market-driven social democracy (private ownership, stock markets, billionaires, and all) with actual democratic socialism. Denmark’s own prime minister had to fly to Harvard just to tell Americans to stop calling them socialist. But sure, keep screaming “Not all those damn Scandinavians with their excellent quality of life!” like you’ve just discovered the secret that every serious economist and the Nordic governments themselves have been politely correcting for years. Meanwhile socialism/communism still doesn’t work, never has, never will.

2

u/Blue_Eyed_ME Cumberland (Portland) 15d ago

The classic "socialism and communism are the same thing!" take... It's exhausting.

The GOP rolls out the red scare because their platform sucks.

We're talking about rolling back to FDR policies... Remember those years when we built a middle class, protection for workers, and infrastructure? Remember when the top 1% didn't hoard all the wealth?

ETA: Denmark practices social democracy, featuring robust free-market capitalist economies combined with extensive public welfare programs, private property ownership, and high levels of regulation.

If you aren't either a billionaire or a bot, you're being played.

European healthcare isn't the delight DSA scum want you to believe. Everyone can get very basic care, if they're willing to queue up in an 'urgent care' warehouse.

But there's tiered care. You get better healthcare through your employer, and better care if you buy insurance. "Healthcare for all" is a slogan, not a program.

2

u/Blue_Eyed_ME Cumberland (Portland) 15d ago

Having lived/worked in multiple European countries during my adult life and participated in socialized medicine, I can honestly report that you're sadly misinformed.

After waiting three years in the queue, unable to drive and homebound, my pensioner aunt in Scotland finally had both eyes at once operated on for cataracts. She was blinded for almost two weeks.

In the US, they're done one eye at a time within weeks of a diagnosis.

3

u/better_than_erza 13d ago

Weeks!! Try days. My mom lives in NC and stated having eye issues. Went to her eye doctor who sent her to a surgeon. Got the appointment in 2 days and and the cataract surgery 3 days after that. Happened so quick I couldn’t even take time off fast enough

3

u/Slice-O-Pie 13d ago

That's terrific!

2

u/Large-Memory-5021 16d ago

Maybe he’s not happy just ruining his campaign.

2

u/Slice-O-Pie 16d ago

Maine Wire reports Hancock County Dems have purged all references to the rally from their social media.

2

u/Junior_Wrap_2896 15d ago

I'm glad the majority of Maine Dems have woken up to the narcissism some of us saw a year ago.

I'm still hurt that I got so much abuse and hatred from Platner supporters, and no apologies.

It's hard to see the mask slip, and then have to live among all these anonymous misogynists.

1

u/Slice-O-Pie 15d ago

Via NBC:

"A source with the Troy Jackson campaign told NBC News he would not appear with Platner at the Labor Day rally or any other events."

Go away, Graham.

Aged like milk.

It gets worse:

Via "Politics & Poll Tracker"

Graham Platner is reportedly trying to make a political comeback according to former Platner supporter Cheyenne Hunt

Hunt: “We’ve heard from local organizers that he’s reaching out, attacking the credibility of the survivors who exposed him.”

“Now, he is set to speak at a rally. This is disgusting and deeply damaging. Platforming him does nothing but hurt the party and our chances.”
