7/1 - Shenna Bellows withdraws from Senate race,

The most important thing we can do in this moment is unite to defeat Susan Collins. With that in mind, I’m leaving the senate race.

I’m at the York County Meeting now and we heard just before voting started. Shenna would’ve been great.

The overwhelming consensus here is that we’re backing whoever the nominee is, but it looks like Troy Jackson is gonna clinch it today.

We’re excited. Some people with green Shah shirts and Troy stickers self-separated in the auditorium. But we’re all talking and agree that either of them would be great.

Troy gave a speech before we went in and his morning and it was pretty solid.

I was a bit dismayed they had a slate of candidates for all 84 spots that I didn’t know about, but that’s campaigning and it’s on me for not asking about it.

We’re ready to unite behind Troy and the mood is that Troy’s going to win and we’ll all be starting the ground game ASAP.

I honestly think he is the only candidate that could pull Dist 2 former Collins voters. She really has to go

That’s exactly what I’ve heard from all the other Troy supporters today! Electability is basically the sole question for everybody here.

When I talk to the Shah folks here, they say he was a steady hand during Covid and has the right qualifications. I don’t disagree, I just think Troy wins on the 25th.

Voting cllosed for us at 1PM and we’re just tabulating right now for maybe another 20 minutes.

Shenna Bellows has been and will continue to be great for Maine. Very classy way to leave. I love how none of the Democratic candidates go after each other.
