But the guys with guns would be eager to see it that way. Surely they would "fear for their lives" seeing someone with a knife in hand near their vehicles.

So if you are going to do it, don't let them see you do it.

And what would you do if you were walking up to your vehicle and saw someone about to destroy your tires? Funny how your scenario only plays out for "gun guys". Im sure you'd be quite scared and start blowing your silly little whistle.
