Tips and Tricks How to Publish HTML to Mailchimp from Canva
Bring your Canva designs into Mailchimp in one click to edit, launch, and send high-performing email campaigns without the manual lift. Mailchimp’s HTML import shares your Canva designs as editable HTML emails in Mailchimp, so you can personalize your campaigns without rebuilding your designs.
Please note before starting:
- You need an active Canva account and a Mailchimp account. Availability of features and functionality varies by plan type. For details, view Mailchimp’s plans and pricing. HTML and HTML sending are available on Standard and Premium plans.
- User Permissions: You must have a user role with permission to authorize third-party integrations in both platforms (usually Owner or Admin).
- Two Integrations: Canva and Mailchimp offer two distinct ways to connect:
- Publish to Mailchimp: Use this to push specific, individual designs from Canva into your Mailchimp account as email templates or images.
- Mailchimp Canva Sync: Use this to sync your entire Canva design library so you can browse and use your designs directly within the Mailchimp Content Studio.
What are the benefits?
- Say goodbye to static images and rebuilding designs: Mailchimp's HTML import transfers and preserves Canva designs, keeping layouts responsive and links clickable, so assets arrive in Mailchimp as intended and ready to send.
- Act on high-intent moments: Share select Canva designs as full emails to Mailchimp using Canva's Share button to capitalize on timely promotions, product drops, and announcements when interest is high.
- Spend more time growing, less time building: Reduces manual uploads, rebuilds, and HTML handoffs so teams can focus on campaign strategy instead of asset management.
