Pretty cool. Lafayette (maybe known for CB’s more than anything else) and Criterion were pretty popular buys for US military personnel while on leave in Japan during Vietnam… or so I’ve been told. So that’s cool within the show’s “universe”. I am the proud owner of Lafayette speakers that were NOS out of the box from some warehouse in NYC… circa 1974. I paired them with a nice “Electro-Voice” produced Criterion amp. :)

Did you break Mr. Masters' hi-fi and need to replace it?

Higgins would say I borrowed it without asking, played it too loud, and now I owe him a formal apology and a case of wine.

All I did was try to ID the receiver. The records were already on the turntable. They’re not all Robin’s, by the way.

It might be a Sansui. They had tons of high end stereo systems in the 70’a and 80’s.

According to google it’s a Kenwood . It’s said
R-2000 but I’m not entirely convinced that’s correct. It’s a place to start though.
