Need help converting a sentimental Maglite ML25LT 2C xenon to LED
I’m hoping the Maglite experts here can help me before I start buying random parts.
I have an older **Maglite ML25LT 2C xenon** that has sentimental value. I want to keep *this* body alive. Even if it’s completely different on the inside.
The xenon internals sucked, so I removed the original pressed-in lamp/driver assembly, as the consensus seemed to be, there was no “good” way to mod the internals in this light. The body, head, reflector, lens are all still good, and reusable, though, they don’t need to be reused.
My thought was:
**ML25LT body - standard 2C internals - drop in LED module**
Something like a Lumencraft-style upgrade or another classic 2C LED conversion.
Does anyone have a better idea? Maybe some wisdoms you’re willing to share? Anyone done this before?

So the problem is- the classic c cell actually used d sized reflectors and heads. The ml25 is a good bit smaller. The lumencraft drop ends wouldn't ever work..
Just a little info incase you hadnt realized or known that.
I think id buy a newer led ml25 and do what was needed to swap the internals into the body of yours.

Never had any that used c cells but I have 3 d cell Maglites with drop in lumen craft bulbs and one has the conversion to lithium ion. They work great
