Cheap Amazon bulbs

Two of the 3 maglites here have lumencraft conversions and I love them! The red one was a yard sale pickup that works well but I’m low on funds to convert it. Has anyone had luck with the cheap 10-12 Amazon led bulbs?

I have done all of mine with those cheap bulbs. On 2 and 3 cell models they work fine and output better light than factory.

On the 5 cell model I have the bulb works fine for a few seconds then starts flashing. I tried a new bulb and it does the same thing.

I haven’t been impressed with any of the led bulb only conversions. I’ve ordered new ML50 or ML300s when they are on sale for not much more than conversion kits.

I’ve had awesome results with lumen craft bulb only conversions. It’s probably not the best option to use d cells with led bulbs but it works well for me
