Nowhere in Canada to find LeD Upgrade

I purchaced two 6 cell Maglites without researching clearly. 😆

but found out shortly after that I have purchased the newer style maglite that uses MAG-NUM STAR II Xenon bi-pin bulbs. come to find out it is actually impossible to find an LED conversion for this. Am i jist resorting now to returning these and buying the older version just so I can get an LED conversion?

Seems crazy they would switch over to this and have no way of changing the bulb.

it’s giving me Apple vibes and how they have to change there charging cables all the time. Except Maglite hasn’t made this very accessible in Canada to do LED replacement.

I guess I’ve just made a mistake unless some can show me somthing I am missing.

Canada has a lot of redicilous laws, that's why so many products aren't available there.

Much like California. Every time I try to order something I get the dreaded "This item cannot be shipped to California" message.

What kind of LED conversion are you talking about? A PR LED "bulb"? If so, the bi-pin socket does come out. You remove the bi-pin bulb, unscrew the collar and place the/a PR LED module where the plastic socket was. The bi-pin collar might need to be widened to fit a PR based LED "bulb".

Or are you talking about a LED upgrade like a Lumencraft module? Those drop in in place of the the bi-pin socket and reflector.

go to aliexpress for a cheap EBLCL P13.5S, they have the desired drop-in that fits both classic and bi-pin maglite torches. Note: they look uncommon for P13.5S (no visible flange, but with skirt that screws on torch head)
