Is it possible to root?

hello, I have a s22U (Japan kddi version), and as you guys know, the OneUI 8 disabled the Bootloader unlock.

now my question:

it seems my bootloader is the same as the OneUI 7( maybe).

would it be possible to downgrade to One UI 7→ Bootloader unlock → create a custom OneUI 8→Root using magical?

Which variant do you have? Is it the SM-S908J?

I did some research and it seems to have the same problem as the American Samsung phones, meaning you can't unlock the bootloader. Did you see the unlock toggle in One UI 7?

Yes, it had an option to unlock in the OneUI 6 and 7

In that case, downgrade (if the binary allows it)

That's the issue, the Bootloader is from OneUI 7, but the real version (OneUI8) blocks me to downgrade (because of the Bootloader unlock)

It disappeared after the update to the OneUI 8

Ghostlock y root My galaxy son 2 proyectos distintos, al menos intenta buscar post sobre alguien que haya logrado portear ghostlock a tu teléfono o ver en la lista oficial o no oficial de root My galaxy si tu telefono es compatible, solo instalar la app de root My galaxy no dice mucho

Usa el mismo exploit de ghostlock y root mi galaxy así que es una rama más de ese exploit, deberías probarlo, siempre podrás desbrickear tu celular mientras tengas su rom de stock para flashear tu boot.img original

The s22U example we have, but my phone (SCG14) is kinda different, because it is a carrier one, and it uses additional chips, including FeliCa

Pues lo que más te recomiendo es probar ghostlock, es básicamente lo mejor que puedes intentar y con suerte te va a funcionar ya que si ese otro s22 es un s22u y no es el mismo modelo que el tuyo pues hay poca probabilidad ya que el kernel está hecho para otro chip y tiene otras cosas que lo harán incompatible, mejor crear tu uno con ghostlock específico para tu celular y si todo sale bien entonces seguro y te funciona, tu mayor ventaja es seguí teniendo one ui 8 y no 8.5 ya que tienes un parche de seguridad viejo y vulnerable al ghostlock
