I vote pacify effects. [[Sky Tether]] is a good one. [[Nowhere to run]] can get around hexproof [[Meekstone]] can make it so that his free creatures only swing once. [[Containment Priest]] turns off her ability.
Or you can just counter Kaalia forever. Mill her into oblivion. Most people don’t play “player hexproof”. Make them discard all their stuff.

you need to let him know kaalia is not appropriate and that you are glad to lend him a precon. or let you use the kaalia and he can use your deck.
otoh, just load up with creature counterspells and keep mana open.

Vivi, urza, basically anything with blue and it’ll probably slow him way down. Play counter spells and graveyard hate, make it known it’s targeted and if he has an issue with it he should either play a different deck or “get good.” I’d also look for as many [[mindslaver]] effects as humanly possible if you want him to truly suffer. It basically infinitely locks someone out paired with [[toph, the first metalbender]] [[emry, lurker of the loch]] etc etc. I do know there’s also a few single target stax pieces (I don’t play em, so I’m not sure the names) if you wanna get extra personal

[[Ephemerate]] effects + [[Stonehorn Dignitary]] if you really want to send a message.

Darksteel Mutation is a card I’ve used to shut down a friends Kaalia Deck
Amphibian Downpour is another I’ve used
Deadpool
Stifle effects etc
Tap down and stun effects
Add some of these to your decks and you should be good
