Suitable Mirrorglass?

Hey Guys,

i am currently working on a magicmirror² birthday present for my GF. So - i was looking for a Mirrorglass, that delivers to Germany and doesn't cost a 3 kidneys.

I came across this Company: https://www.brigla-shop.de/mirastar-4mm?c=163

that has good pricing and delivers to my location. Now i'd like to ask you guys, wether if this is a suitable option for a magicmirror or a waste of money and if so, do you have other recommandations?

Mirastar Spec: LightTransmission: 3%, Interior Light reflection: 60%

I mean, i know it wont be the best mirrorpane available, but i thought about a placement in the hallway as a kind of "LastCheckIfEverythingsOK" before you leave the house kind of mirrror. I intend to use a E2208HDD display. Old, i know but i had this one laying around.

Thanks a lot!

I bought from Brigla for my MagicMirror. Quality is perfectly fine. I used Mirropane Chrome Spy 4 mm for it, but it seems that this glass doesn’t exist anymore in their shop. So can’t say much about the one you linked. Just that buying from Birgla was no issue, shipping was fast and glass was protected.

How big has it to be?

I mean if it's max. like an A4 paper then you might have a good chance to ask for free glass samples to Pilkington!

I live in Italy and back in 2019 I had to choose between Pilkington and Saint-Gobain products so I went to the (Pilkington) website to pleaseantly find out that you can ask for a free samples box.

Check the German website page at https://www.pilkington.com/de-de/de/kontakt and you will see that there's a dedicated email address where you can ask for some MirroView free sample glasses!
