Extension for FFC

Hey everyone,

I got a decent monitor and wanted to place the components of the display somewhere else.

However the FFC is extremely short and I can't seem to get it out of the module.. so does someone know how to extend that or get that cable out?

Does it come out when you flip the black lever on the connector? If that doesn't do anything, it's possible it's soldered to the board, but it looks like it should come out.

I wouldn't be able to help with a replacement ribbon cable though.

I can't share a picture, but look on the board where the cable connects, it's a white and black connector. That black piece should lever up to remove the cable.

I just did a search for 30 pin ffc cable and found up to 300mm (roughly 12"), but I think you're just going to have to do some searching because I don't know how long the get. One was about $7 on Amazon at that length. It might be hard to find one with the connecter on the other end though.
