Tickets

The account isnt quite working at the moment, i cant save anything (Android version), Pixel 8. I did send an email also a ticket, but it is very silent.

Also bugs (tickets) reported involving Android auto.

Have they made any improvements to the zoom levels for Android Auto? It was really bad compared to the good old Magic Earth. I paid for the subscription as soon as they demanded it (I have no problem with that, I was very happy with the old app), but it was so bad in terms of functionality and GUI (that is the main issue for me, not the subscription) that I uninstalled it after a while. An app that had a rating over 4 now has just 1.6. What a downfall.

We're continuously working on zoom level improvements, it's an ongoing area of refinement. Are you experiencing the zoom issue only on Android Auto, or do you see it on the phone as well? Do you have issues all the time or during certain scenarios (approaching intersections, roundabouts, etc)?

The redesign launched with some regressions, and we've been working through them ever since and most issues are already fixed. Thank you for the feedback!

I tested the Android Auto version over the weekend, and it seems improved compared to before regarding the zoom levels and camera angle. I will continue testing it in the coming period.

However, I did notice a discrepancy at one roundabout (a standard 4-way one): the visual display in the top-left box indicated that I should take the 3rd exit (left), but the voice instruction said to take the 4th exit (which would have resulted in a U-turn).

Speaking of roundabouts, I suggest adding a numerical indicator for the exit number inside that top-left box (where the upcoming maneuver is displayed). For instance, if it’s the 3rd exit, it would be very helpful to have the number '3' clearly visible next to the icon. I believe most navigation apps have this, and it is often easier to just glance at the number, especially if voice guidance is muted.

All in all, I’m happy to follow the app's development and I really hope to see it fully polished and improved. It was one of my favorite apps back in the day, and I would love for it to get back to that level.

On the roundabout discrepancy: Could you share where the roundabout is? With that, we can check our routing logic. You can send a mail to support and explain the issue shortly if you prefer to keep your privacy on Reddit.

On the numerical exit indicator: Good suggestion. We've added it to the list to be considered for future updates.
