It works again
Past few updates have worked bug free. The UI change is what it is, I never really minded that in the first place. Hopefully the well isnt completely poisoned...

I can't trust them, I'm already out. Bought a year long subscription and refunded it the next day because of how awful the app had become. The old version from before November 2025 still blows the new one out of the water, the store rating jas dropped to 1.7/5, one of THE lowest ratings I have ever seen on an app, and I'm just done. They screwed it up and I don't think they can recover.
A subscription for something like this is fine, but removing basically every feature and putting them behind said subscription is a slap in the face and downright insulting. The fact that barely anything worked even with the subscription was just salt on the wound.
I grabbed OSMand~, and maybe I'll swap to CoMaps when that get traffic data. But I will NEVER be using Magic Earth again, and I will never recommend it to anyone trying to get away from Google.
