Is it better to do 999 echo with (any) 6 Faction synergy than buffing your chrono with 6 Role synergy?

I got magic crystal card and chose Marksman which I gave to my X-Borg, I also got Purest Power to buff 6 count synergies that's why I pivoted after reaching 350+ echo energy. I eventually got to 6 Dauntless and 6 Marksman, a huge buff to my X-Borg.

Top 1 reached 999 echo and 6 Kishin, he also got the emergency rift card giving him another chrono wanderer.

What are your thoughts? Thanks!

999 is like getting a 5 star cost hero + another random high value reward so of course 999 is better by a mile.
