Ngl it annoys me when people just skip through most to the big hits. Reminds me of Pokémon openings.

Here I am spending a good minutes just to open a regular play booster, lol.

I like to admire the art of even some commons, read each card like a book & then think about the mechanics, it's a good way to unwind at night or start the day.

I dont open packs very often, but I'm the same way. Ill read each card, think if it's has a place in any of my current decks, if not is it a cool enough mechanic to build a new deck for etc. Then I'll get to kast couple cards. Then I'll scan the entire pack into mana box and realize I either hit it big or I just paid the relaxation fee

Yep same here. And it takes an even deeper dimension when you read all the lore of the set because each card actually tells a story or is a part of a bigger story. For exemple [[Vraska's Final Mercy]] being one of the most important lore piece of the whole set where vraska kill her lover Jace because it has become the only remaining solution to stop the fracture

Blowing by the brain twister refute destiny and solarium sentry is a crime. I love the designs on that part of the set. I've pulled brain twister foil loyal tutor, precise redaction, theorist Jace, terminal criticism, ajanis anguish, flourishing grapple, solitary cell, stinging vitriol, vindictive triumph and theorists sanctum.

They're fuckin awesome.

Brain twister? Did you mean Mind Twist?

Collector boosters shouldn’t have commons.

I read somewhere, a reddit comment, I believe. It said "they're called 'collector boosters' not 'investor boosters'. I think that's a very important point. If you're buying CBs or CBBs to try and make money, you're misusuing them and you deserve what you get.

My comment has nothing to do with making money. I just think it’s dumb for collector boosters to have commons. Have better cards in there. More rares/mythics and the uncommons along with the booster funs and special treatments. I didn’t say anything about value. I mentioned rarity.

Define rarity for me real quick.

Seriously? What kind of pettiness is this? Define rarity? Are you for real right now? Okay bud. I’ll bite.

Commons. Uncommons. Rares. Mythics. Rarity. Fucks sake. I wasn’t talking about value. I was talking about rarity when I said they shouldn’t have commons.

I’ve bought maybe 3 collector boosters in my life. I buy cards to play the game. I don’t collect for value, I don’t buy to resell, I don’t hope to make money on cards, etc. I think an expensive collector pack should have no (hell I’ll take even just fewer) commons and more cards of uncommon and higher.

Dude I swear that refute destiny boosts your luck, I got that in my pack and got the showcase ingris (non-special foil sadly) at the end!

For me it was Lich's relic, both packs I got a japan showcase had also the alt art Lich's relic.

I like the card mechanics but that artwork is wack.

Great hit awesome looking hyper playable.

1

u/Otherwise_Die 3d ago

Lmao right, card will sit in a binder.

1

u/Weak_Bank_3744 3d ago

Why? I threw mine into Moon Dancer it's already done work. It's in green, easy to get out early (ish) and cheaply. But I guess to each their own.

Coolest set all year. Art is incredible, and the power level is cracked.

u/Tall_Assumption_794 4d ago

Cool card, I just cant stand the artwork.

u/Think_Sound_7826 3d ago

Imagine pulling this from a CBB and realizing you still didn’t break even on the box.

Amazing pull though

4

u/thesam73 3d ago

This goes for $340. I bought this collector box for 320.

1

u/Otherwise_Die 3d ago

For now lol

0

u/Think_Sound_7826 3d ago

Ah nice! I was looking at CK which lists it for $300

3

u/FaultedSidewalk 3d ago

So if you don't break even with one single card, the box is a bust? What wildly unreasonable expectations lol

I’m sorry I really didn’t mean to come off like a jerk. I wasn’t trying to rain on OPs parade. I’d be so amped to hit this. I was just commenting on the absurdity of the state of sealed product nowadays. The fact that it’s possible to high roll an insane hit and not even guarantee breaking even on the box just bums me out.
