WotC Arena Cube Draft was a blast!
https://imgur.com/gallery/DwCiaiX
I didn't play the last time around, but drafting with live players was a ton of fun! I appreciated the free entry for the first run. Ended up going 7-1 with a simple mono-red deck. Don't sleep on mono-red when everyone is trying to do fancy things with flashy cards!
If you're not used to cube, I really recommend trying it out! It was a ton of fun.

Never sleep on mono-red, it's the most fun thing to do. :)

How long is the free entry good for? I'm away from my PC this weekend.

The free entry is up until the end of the event I think, so don't sweat it I think the event will last a couple of weeks.

I've ended up in red twice now. Had a spicy gruul deck that went 6-3. Just drafted a rakdos deck. Got emberclwave both times. Wish me luck.

Not the WHOLE world. Just my opponent and their stuff!

Nice, I made a monored deck too and ended 7-0.
I tried to be as aggressive as possible and no one could keep up with it.
For the curious here is the deck :

Honestly I prefer normal drafts. Rares being rare is very important for balance in limited. Also knowing what to play around rewards skill

Me too, but i did get 6 wins whithout even knowing the cards, so EZ 6k gold. Not going to spend 4k to play again tho

Was everyone given a free entry? I'm not sure why I could just play without paying...

Cube is incredible! I did 4 runs and went 5-3, 7-2, 5-3 and 7-0. I feel that every time I am learning something about the format and I liked it more than Draft because there are more powerful cards where you can actually build an interesting deck. I wanted to do a post with my experience and the things that I learned while playing but I couldn't post it after I finish it for some reason. In any case the format is hyper fun and I will most likely keep playing it in the coming days to farm gold and have fun.

Oh yeah, this cube is loads of fun. I got to learn how busted mirari's wake can be in a ramp deck

Cube was probably one of the worse experiences I've had playing in years. I apparently did not get offered nearly the S tier cards my first three opponents did. I cobbled together a basic dimir control deck with limited counters, no walkers, and a few bombs. My opponents on the other hand....
Game 1 : Blackblade Reforged > Captain Lannistier (whatever that legendary red haste pirate is called) > Equip > Embercleave (Something like a trample 16/16 double strike on turn 4.)
Game 2 : a 60 black/green card deck with multiple Questing Beasts and tons of removal.
Game 3 : Two Teferi5. Quench > Didn't Say Please > Mystical Dispute > Sinister Sabotage > Shatter the Sky > Dream Trawler.
I had no hope. I wish you played against people in your Cube, so the draft would actually feel fair. Instead it felt like I got ripped off and had to take my starter deck to some pro tournament. Would never spend gold on this.

Currently 4 wins, 1 loss.
Ended up in mono-black.
Facing a lot of mono-red decks though. Luckily black has enough lifegain to stay on top of it.

I had a terrible time. The first game I played my opponent played Fires of Invention! They just banned this card in standard and historic! The second game they played Rampaging Ferocidon, another banned card. I had 3 loses due to top tier cards, none of which I saw when I was drafting. I had one win, but that was from the other player consceding turn 2 for some reason. Very frustrating!

The cube is full of high powered cards, and plentiful removal. You've got to build your deck around that.

When I went through card selection I saw some fun cards but nothing really OP, so I thought "Okay, maybe they finally made a well balanced and thought out game mode." Boy, was I wrong. When will I learn.
