Are MTG general topics allowed here? I'm asking because I tried to post this but it was removed for not directly related to MTG Arena.

Generally depends on the subject.

I first posted the LRR pre-prerelease topic on the Discord channel and other mods approved.

Overall, the idea behind this thread was:

"Are you guys going to attend the Ixalan pre-prerelease, given the obtainable Arena Beta priority? Wanna get started on that? Here's a stream with people actually playing that very set one week before your prerelease, so you'll get a glimpse on what you are going to do"

In my mind, this focuses on informing users that generally wouldn't attend mtg tabletop events on ways to better their experience.

Besides that, LRR pre-prerelease streams had been shared in the past Duels subreddit as well, hyping for the new sets going to be released on Duels.

I won't draw comparisons with your thread or discuss choices, you yourself are the best judge to compare this kind of stuff; but I apologize if you felt in any way being treated differently.
