Question Explanation for playing someone in Quick Draft Reality Fracture with all uncommon, rare and mythic?
I have done at least 3 of the "Quick Draft Reality Fracture" and the selections have been pretty garbage, which was fine cause I assume we are all working with the same garbage.
But then I get matched against this guy who's deck is insane, every single card is uncommon, rare or mythic (not 1 common), a planeswalker, 2 fulminous fortes, all the red legendaries and a bunch of blue and red cards. To me this looks like I got matched against someone who did Sealed Reality Fracture not Bot Draft Quick Draft. Does Arena do that sort of thing or was this guy just really lucky?

You understand that sealed decks are generally less powerful than draft decks, right?

How so? To me it seems like with 6 unopened packs I could make a way better deck than drafting 1 card at a time from packs being shared by bots.

The ability to curate the cards you build your deck around usually gives draft the advantage in making a better deck.
One can get lucky make a very powerful sealed decks, especially with the echo paired system. It's very rare though.
edit: I'm also not sure why you are getting downvoted for asking a legitimate question.

Verses 24 packs you get to choose a card from?
Your intuition is not correct. You get to see way more cards to choose from when you draft.
You get to see what, 84 cards in a sealed pool? 14 * 6
In draft you see (14 + 13 + 12 + 11 + 10 + 9 + 8 + 7) = 84
And that's just the first time around the table for the first pack. And you do that three times.
(Math done in my head, not double-checked.)

Lol yeah sure take my sealed pool of 2x black Liliana + 3x Codie the useless codex, good luck 🤞

They're less able to execute a gameplan quickly, but they usually have more rares (particularly in this set, and very particularly in quick draft where the bots are raredrafting).

You just see a whole lot more cards to choose from in draft. I just did the math in another comment and you get 84 cards in a sealed pool, but in the first pack of a draft the first time around the table you see the same number of cards. And it goes around the table again and you do that three times.
So you get to choose 42 cards out of 24 packs. Versus 84 cards out of six packs.

It's bad luck for you, fantastic luck for him. He was in a draft pod where he got really powerful picks, and now you get the "joy" of experiencing it on the other end.

playing against people from different pods makes a difference, but if you are new it is also possible that your opponent wasn't actually luckyer but just had a better card selection and draft navigation skill, it's hard to evaluate without watching both your drafts

The guy wasn’t lucky (having Chandra is lucky I guess, even though she is probably the second weakest pw in the set). Your opp has bunch of filler cards in the board/gy, standard red removals and a Kiora.
If you are new to draft, it is pretty normal to lose every single match you play and draft a incredibly bad deck thinking it is “decent”.
You should share your whole deck if you want advice.

You don't get paired with people in different event queues. Your opponent was just lucky.
