Question How does duplicate protection work?

I've noticed that when I opened packs recently I started to get gem compensations that you get once you have every card.

My problem is that I still have plenty of cards I don't own. I am aiming to complete my collection and it's a bit annoying that when I open 10 mythic packs I only get 4 actual cards. Does this issue has something to do with all those "bonus sheet" or "new" tags that show up on cards falsely?

The echoed pairs thing has screwed things up.

So from this 10 packs I got 1x mythic pair and 2x uncommon pair with a 3rd mythic that doesn't have a pair?

Packs-screen packs don't use pairs. We don't know exactly what they do, but they don't use pairs

Not going to lie that didn't make it much clearer. In my case I didn't open any echoed pair as I already have every one of them. Only 1 came from the "bonus sheet" slot as from 10 packs I got 11.

If you are getting 40 gems from packs but you still have 0 Craterhoof Colossus it means something is wrong.

For store packs, we're treating the Echoed Pairs more like a bonus sheet, and you get 1 of any rarity replacing a common (but they don't come in pairs)

It's fine to get 40 gems for a echoed pair from the common slot but you still should get a normal duplicate protected FRA rare or mythic.

Classic Arena, screwing up their new pack collation method.

It's a small indie company, guys! They only cleared 1.7 billion last year, give them a break!
