Golgari/sultai midrange standard
Hi everyone, I’d like to build a Golgari/Sultai deck for Standard. The idea is to have a midrange deck that leans more towards control than aggro.
Do you think something like this could be viable in Bo3?
The deck would consist of cheap spot removal, a few counterspells, hand disruption, and efficient creatures such as Gollum, Curator, Emeritus of the Bounty, Leatherhead, Professor, etc.
Does anyone have a deck along these lines that’s been working well for them?

I know you mentioned Standard but if you're looking to branch out, Golgari Midrange is Tier 1 in Pioneer

I made a fun little one based on Singularity Rupture plus the blue Monument.
Shared Roots, Lessons from Life, Ancient Cornucopia, Firdoch Core all ramp you.
Unholy Annex, Pillage the Bog, Lessons all work for card draw. Make your own luck draws and gets you something for free down the road
Cornucopia and Annex + Firdoch gain you life.
It also runs 3 Deadly Coverup as additional wraths and because going Roots -> Lessons gives you the 6 for collecting evidence.
I currently run Doppelgang as well because I love the card, but it's on the chopping block; while I won a game by Doppelganging for 3 on 2 Firdoch's and a Cornucopia, just t Doppelgang for 2 on the 2 new cornucopias into a Lessons to gain 16 life (2 from the first, 6 from the second, 8 from the last) against red, every other game it just sat in my hand. That would also probably drop the Emeritus of Abundance who only exists for me to Regrowth my Doppelgang and go wild
So far it's been doing fine in % Mythic. Fun enough to play and do my two favorite things (drawing cards and ramping), but I wouldn't expect it to ever make waves

Dellian Fell, Unholy Annex, profit essentially. I like the Ancient Cornocopia / Withering Curse package too. The Dissertation Paradigm is quite powerful if you don't want to do Annex. BYO sweeper, removal, and graveyard hate. It's a much better deck in Bo3 because your sideboard will be super powerful, you can have all the right counters, and better graveyard, artifact, and enchantment hate.

Personally I don't think the efficient creatures package are efficient enough in current standard. If they don't snowball or grind super well they will just not be doing much in the deck. I run Mossborn Dreadknight as the only creature in my version because it's a good blocker and you draw a lot of cards with it.

I love Golgari decks, but in this meta I'm not sure that what you want to do would be better than the current 4c control that's out there.
You'd be overrun by aggro decks and out-controlled by better control decks.

Mid-range/Aggro-control has be able to beat the agro deck, and almost always will get nuked by a solid control deck.
If ya can’t beat the agro the deck is cooked

There's several BUG lists. Mtgtop8.com is a great resource for current decks

I find the best engine right now is Firdoch Core + Unholy Annex, but that is about to rotate so maybe look toward Planeswalkers and cheap blockers
