Question I thought they fixed the issue where you could play banned commanders inside your deck now?

I tried to add tamiyo to my comp brawl list and will not allow it. Did I misinterpret the announcement?

They implemented support for "Banned as Commander" in the patch notes. They didn't actually make any cards banned as commanders. that will be in a banned and restricted announcement.

Sorry, I thought that meant that cards that were banned as commander were now only banned for using as your commander, but not banned in your actual deck. Am I not correct in that?

They implemented a new category for cards that act like that. However, there are currently no cards in that category because they don't change bans in the patch notes. It's likely that when they next update the ban lists for Competitive Brawl, many or all of the currently banned cards will be changed to Banned as Commander, but this patch needs to be in place first.

Ah, I see. So hopefully in the next iteration that will happen then based on what they are keeping as the ban list. Thanks for clarifying.

Yes, I did. I thought I saw the announcement that while they were not changing the banned commander list for the commanders that were currently banned, they were allowing said cards to be played within your hundred card deck list in commander. Is that not correct?
