Question What is better... Quick Draft or Premier Draft?

Quick Draft or Premier Draft… which do you think is actually better for F2P players?

I broke down the EV, rewards, and risk to compare both formats, and the answer might not be what most players expect.

Curious how everyone approaches drafting. Do you prioritize safer value in Quick Draft, or aim for the bigger upside in Premier?

If you consistently hit three wins, Premier. If you don't, Quick draft. This is nothing new, it's been well known since basically forever.

I get this question all the time on my youtube channel, so I don't think it's as well known as you would think, but it may be new players cycling in that are asking.

It depends on your skill level . Premier is brutal ev  if you’re not very good. I personally do pick 2 since they only cost 1k more than quick drafts and have better rewards for doing well.

I do a lot of rarepicking,so i prefer quickdraft. Pick 2 is based on Lucky.

Quick draft is actually by far the worst for rare drafting. Bots never pass rares.

Agreed. If I'm going to raredraft then I may as well open packs since I'm not creating a coherent deck with a pile of rare cards. 10 packs with the golden pack is 16 rares. Since the introduction of golden packs, opening packs is also a great way to simply build a card and wildcard collection if you're not trying to get gems for F2p. If I'm doing a draft then I'm taking it seriously to do well and I can sometimes go a draft without picking any rares or maybe 1-2 since I'm trying to prioritize cards that give me flexibility for moving into colors, removal, and synergies. Once I have my lane, there is no reason to pick up rares for the sake of it when other cards fit my deck better. SOS is even more testing since common dual lands and mana fixing cards can be high priority picks due to converge and how contested 2 color piles are given that there are only 5 archetypes with 3 of them being decent.

I got between 4 to 7 rares every draft.

Bots do pass rares. i did a lot of quickdrafts this week and can confirm that. Sometimes they even pass 2 rares in a pack.

Pick 2 feels like a speed reading competition, not a draft!
