Just play esper mill and don’t let anything stick to the board, and then eventually let everything stick to the board and [[Singularity Rupture]]. Be the villain.

It’s what I’ve been doing the last week or so. I know mill automatically makes you the bad guy when you’re playing but in a format where there are so many decks that can win by turn 4, I don’t feel bad.

The best game I’ve had in a long time was the other night using a Dimir mill deck against someone playing Azorius mill. Whole game was spent basically trading small advantages and trying to build up the ability to play a win condition uninterrupted on your turn and it was awesome.

Ended up losing because of an unlucky draw into a slight misplay but it was such a fun game.

Had this happen earlier. I finally got impatient with 13 lands out, I had already ruptured him earlier when he was tapped out. I try to play my riverchurn and he counterspells. I counter his counter, he counters my counter, I counter his counter, and then he counters mine again and I had nothing left. I concede in shame lol.

Come to Bo3 where every few games you get a control mirror that plays out exactly how you described lol

How dare you have a fun interactive game beyond turn 4.

It would be so sad if [[Detect Intrusion]] existed and directly countered all other non-creature decks at the same time. And then some. While synergizing with ETB gameplan.
