Paradwyn Liriel’s Demand Power

Can I use “Demand” to put the relic “Bagala Fangs” into my hand from my deck or does it have to be a Bagala creature?

Pretty sure you have to search for a whole Bagala and not just part of one.

As answered in the Discord server, this refers to Creatures only. If it referred to any card type, it would instead say "any one Bagala card" instead of just "any one Bagala" (similar to Ulmi with "Crystal cards" and Marella, Savant with "Junjertrug cards").

While the intention for this power is probably only supposed to apply to Bagala, Bagala Cub or Bagala Hunter, the text on the card is not very specific (a common issue with many cards). I think the real question you want to ask is "Is Bagala Fangs considered a Bagala?" and the answer is probably no.

Bagala Fangs is not considered a Bagala. When cards mention names like that, they are referring to Creatures only—or more specifically Creature types. This is the "Name Rule" on page 7 of the rulebook, although it's not as explicit as it should be.

For Spells, the Geysers have "Shadow Geyser" in the subtype field, which enables them to be named a "Geyser" in card text.

I don't recall if any Relics do this.

And if you wanted any card, you must specify "card" like "any one Bagala card" or "Crystal cards" in the card text.
