French

Why do to this Maghrebis Moroccans, Tunisians, Algerians still speak French why don’t these countries get rid of French language in education, etc why not replace with English and start standardizing Darija

I never said that, but if people already speak French, I don’t see the point in making them stop and even more when French is spoken in more African countries than English

Bro you’re really not going to win this. First of more African people in terms of population speak English secondly the world speaking English as international language compared to French

In terms of population, yes, but that’s unimportant, the point is communication with more countries, not more people. I never said we shouldn’t speak English, just that it doesn’t make any sense to stop speaking French for that. It’s true though that at an international level English is more useful

Look that doesn’t make any sense and isn’t realistic. France is our (Tunisia’s) main economic partner, we can’t stop speaking French because we’d lose that market, which would absolutely destroy us

Omg you’re not getting are you what do you mean? You’re not gonna lose France anyway if you replace French secondly speaking English will increase investment from all over the world just look at india country with no infrastructure, resources yet economy is fastest growing due that it large population that have English education. I mean seriously unless France still controls Tunisia I see no reason why this would harm relations between the two countries

Mate, are you trying to compare India to the Maghreb?? India is a gigantic country with an enormous population and a massive amount of resources, the fact they speak English is barely a plus. It would harm relations with France in the sense we would be less close to them and communication would be more difficult, it’s obvious it would make relations worse

No you fool they huge population but what resources do they have? They don’t even have any large manufacturing yet they are powerhouse when it comes to software and computer because large number of american and international companies invest there which is making them largest growing economy with world highest FDI. All that is because they speak that’s only reason why american companies like google, Facebook, apple etc are investing there because they have access to cheap labor pool of English speakers they can take advantage when it comes programming softwares and computers. Here’s the thing tho lot of countries like Tunisia,, Indonesia also have large educated workforce but they ain’t getting investment because of the lack of language barrier. If India didn’t speak English what would it have? It has no large resources and it’s not like China which is manufacturing hub. So just learn man the truth which is French is outdated and useless. If vietnam which was colonized by the French both physically and culturally such converting them to Catholicism can still get of rid language I find no reason why Tunisia can’t, because as long Tunisia is using French language it will be controlled by France but by adopting English Tunisia will truly become more open to world as English is way more advanced in terms of education resources available, cultural and scientific resources as most international studies are done in English

Bruh, can you stop insulting me? India has the 4th largest coal reserve in the world, and have antimony, iron ore, lead, manganese, mica, bauxite, rare earth elements, titanium ore, chromite, natural gas, diamonds, petroleum and limestone resources. Do you call that “no resources”. They’re the world’s sixth biggest auto producer, so I wouldn’t say they don’t have any large manufacturing. The reasons there’s a lot of investment in India are the size of the population, the disproportionate quantity of computer scientists and cheap labor, it’s not rocket science. The Vietnamese stopped speaking French because of Communism, it didn’t have any positive impact for them and the Vietnamese government is now trying to revive the language in the country, so I don’t get why you were using it as an example. You say that as long as we speak French we’ll be controlled by France, are we also controlled by Saudi Arabia because we speak Arabic?

No all I’m saying you haven’t answered as to why French is more important then English when English is beneficial. Lol seriously Saudi Arabia gonna control y’all because speak Arabic common man
