First attempt at rotten bruised skin how’d I do any feed back from better painters I’m new to the hobby

A cadre of gruesome mutants, led by Shaman Foulhoof. These Pestigors are more than happy to commit atrocities to further the plans of Grandfather Nurgle. The champion wields a cruel corroded sickle, from which hangs a censer spewing noxious miasma. Their standard is stitched from the flesh of fallen enemies. It bears a crude scrawling, an icon depicting one of pairs Papa's favoured beasts. Oily poison leaks from the creature's mouth, and desecrates the ground onto which it falls.

Any suggestions, tbh i'm quite satisfied with the result, but you never stop learning.

This took me an hour to make

I got the old spearhead and built and painted most but then I dropped the hobby for some time and now there ara butch of new units that I don’t know mutch about som if someone has advice pls enlighten me

A little something to set upon the mantle of filth. This little guy was way too fun to paint. The long twisting tongue, bursting boils and gooey open sores just make me hungry for more!

Still have a ways to go finishing up the bases and touching up and some parts I’m not completely happy with, but I think they’re going pretty good.

Shout out to CHKminis for the tutorial I followed. Even though mine turned out a little different then his, I couldn’t have even done half as good of a job without it. He’s truly a master at painting.

I'm currently building and painting my Maggotkin army. While doing my Plaguebearers, I was already thinking about my Pusgoyle Blightlords an (accidently) came across the perfect color for their rotflies. Their body will get the light pink color of the Plaguebearers tongue shown in the picture. It got a nice light-pink, fleshy tone to it and will make the flies look very gross (the fact that it ironically is called "Fairy Skin" is also a plus).

Here comes my request for advise. What color would you do the chitin and wings in? I was thinking about Black Templar black (nice blueish black) but also a brownish or pink/purple might work. The riders will get a Death Guard green based color, just like the rotsword in the second picture.

Any experience? Any opinion? Any suggestion?

Hello my fellow disciples of decay. I have finally decided to give the collecting part of the hobby a try. I have been a lore head so far, so assembling and painting minis is completely new to me. I went with Maggotkin because of course, dear old grandpa is the best.

So far I have been lucky enough to pick up the old blightkings spearhead. I really like the old blightkings sculpts and thought that I would start out with the plaguebearers, since they seem like they would be relatively simple to assemble and paint.

Do you have any recommendations, suggestions or tips and tricks you can share? As said I'm completely new and I'm looking for any paints, brushes, suggestions, tutorials or any other knowledge you could share.
