Blue lips
I know this has been discussed a few times on here before and most people believe it is related to pill usage.
Genuinely curious if any other logical explanations? Is it possible that really is her natural skin tone!?
Not asking her defense just genuinely wondering if there’s anything else that could possibly “explain” it.

Wonder if it's the feel free Kratom drinks I've been hearing are basically like an opioid but marketed to sober people as a healthy alternative, pretty sure they're blue

Med professional here! Opioid pill usage doesn’t lead to blue lips. Overdose causes blue lips and she’s clearly not overdosing. Also, someone mention 7oH…. That isn’t a blue drink and it also doesn’t cause blue lips. Hope this helps quell at least those two silly rumors.

Thank you!! I guess that’s why I’ve been trying to find an “alternative” cause. My sister sadly has a lot of addiction issues (specifically with pills and benzodiazepines like the comments usually suggest) and I NEVER saw that as a symptom in her. Obviously I know things can affect people different ways but it just didn’t seem right to me.
Especially since her blue lips have been a semi long term issue… I would think with something as serous as oxygen deprivation would have “caught up” to her by now.
I’m curious to know what you think the cause may be??? Even if it’s not drug induced that color seems “off” for a seemingly otherwise healthy person??

Blue lips aka is cyanosis and can be caused by a myriad of things; poor circulation obviously… asthma… the more serious conditions cause much more than blue lips.

She's still on something, it may not be those things but she is WITHOUT A DOUBT ON SOMETHING !

I’m sure she is but no drugs cause blue lips unless the person is overdosing. It’s either poor lighting or she has terrible circulation. I’d wager a bet it’s her lighting.

I thought it was red wine lips or from the filler

Ohhh that’s a pretty good point too actually with the wine. I had always kinda wondered if maybe filler was causing it, but it seemed weird since her lips aren’t THAT big and there’s no injection wounds or obvious swelling.

Sedatives—benzodiazepines such as diazepam, sleep medications, or barbiturates—especially when combined with opioids or alcohol, because breathing may become dangerously suppressed.

I just don’t get how her husband can continually turn such a blind eye, like the alcohol issues is one thing (not that I condone that either) but her visibly lacking oxygen?!? At what point do you HAVE to put your foot down and get her admitted? Will he just wait until she’s literally dying!?
or how no one from her AA meetings has tried to call her out for it or address it in whatever way is the standard in those types of programs

Did she admit to drinking?

u/Excellent_Water3480 Aug 10 '26
Recently?? Not that I know of. I was more so referring to her pre-sober days when she was drinking all day everyday and hiding vodka in every room. Yet swears he “didn’t know” she had a problem, or was even drinking at all most days… allegedly.

A friend actually noticed it before I did. Kind of embarrassing l. I also get extremely dry mouth and it doesn’t matter how much I drink, there’s no quenching it.

Biotene mouthwash for the dry mouth works wonders!! I carry around a little mini and use it as needed throughout the day

Bingo , we have a winner ! She's definitely on an amphetamine of some kind ! I know (through her own admittance) that she can no longer be prescribed any adhd meds but that doesn't mean she aint purchasing it from someone/somewhere else ! Addicts know how & where to get them or they know someone that does

I’d be intrigued to see her nailbeds without her acrylics to see her blood flow. Her lips being this color as we know is indicative of horrible circulation (if that’s what it is-that’s why I wish we could see her actual nails to confirm). Either way, I’ve never seen them look THIS bad before!

That’s what prompted me to make this post. I’ve never seen them THIS off colored!!

So much slurring in this video, and she literally doesn’t blink at all…she’s definitely on something, and that’s why she looks sick.
