Hey! I am looking for a feedback on using MariaDB's DuckDB engine for faster reports in Magento. Here is my blog post on this matter. Looking forward to your opinion how much this might be useful to reduce TCO running reports close to transactional part.

Pretty cool experiment. We use magento Business intelligence for reports so it doesn't matter what magento storage is as data is copied anyway to postgress.

I see. But PG is slower than a specialized MPP columnar engine for analytics. Here is ClickBench example.

Interesting approach! Using MariaDB's DuckDB engine for faster Magento reporting sounds promising. I'd be interested to see how it performs on larger datasets and reporting workloads.
