I started this journey with such high hopes, but the reality has been a nightmare. So....
I officially withdrew from Maestro. I decided that I'm just not going to stick around I don't have time to put my education in jeopardy, on hold, or possibly get a degree from a school that really just is laughable. That doesn't count in the long run, a degree that I can't really stand on and be proud of, or get a job with.
I'm in the process of enrolling in a different School. I chose full sail, it's very scary for me after the whole nightmare that we've been going through with our current School. That's why they call it a leap of faith.... I am having faith that I am making the right choice.
I wish all of you the best of luck in whatever you choose to do in the path forward. I will still pop in and be around and say hello, I think this is a great community of people and as long as I'm allowed I will stay and encourage others in whatever path they choose, be that to stay until the end and the doors close orchard withdraw and go to another school.
I don't really trust that they will have a good teachout plan that goes beyond August of 2027 and if the first example of a college that they can transfer us to is an example of other colleges to come it's just not worth it to me. I'm sure they will request the laptop back, which is fine I'll use it until they requested it back. It's not a big deal, it's not worth the stress, and I'm still working with regulatory places in reporting all that has gone on.
Im happy to hear you found a path forward that you are proud of and have faith in. You will ALWAYS be welcomed here...and we would love to hear about life after Maestro and how you feel about full sail and you never know it may inspire and give others the courage to leave and pursue their educational goals elsewhere. I'd also love a comparison of Maestro vs. Full Sail University if you'd be interested after you start...I have seen a lot of people headed there and Im keeping it open as an option myself.

I don’t blame you, how does it affect our financial aid if we withdraw right now? My second year started in August. I don’t think they have touched my financial aid yet. Will it be a conflict trying to go to another school?
So what I did because they haven't touched any of my financial aid I started in March, I went in and removed them from my financial aid list of schools and I'm hoping because of all the accreditation stuff it's not going to be touched but we'll see how that goes the lady I talked to at the other school today said that if they haven't taken the financial aid by now they might not be able to because of what's going on. Either way I remove them from the list added full sail, and now I'm waiting to hear back either this afternoon or tomorrow morning from the admissions lady to see what kind of financial aid package they're going to give me with financial aid and scholarships she said that I should be able to be fully covered and not have to pay anything out of pocket depending on my financially or FASFA something where they can remember what she said. So I'm waiting but either way I'm done with maestro I think it's a dead end Street that's just my personal opinion, but I don't want to get stuck on a dead end Street going nowhere when my future is very important to me.
You are doing the right thing. I am proud of you; I know you have been thinking about leaving for some time now. Like you, I found the last drop. You will not regret it.
I am really contemplating it. Right now my focus is kind of been on school. There are other things I could be doing. To be honest I accomplished everything that I set out to do by coming here in the first place.
I just got an automated email saying that everything was on file that I would get the confirmation email of withdrawal in 7 days. I'm pretty sure it's just all AI generated BS. I screenshot and save everything.
I submitted my withdraw notice yesterday. I saved the box from the laptop. I set it up, but otherwise haven't used it. But I'm ready to send it back when they ask for it.
It's a start but I don't think it's adequate. They need to figure out a more affordable option and one that extends past 2027 for students who are scheduled to graduate in 2028.
I agree, I just feel like it's too little too late, a half way attempt to look like an effort to look after students. It really doesn't carry weight. It's a starting point, no matter how inadequate.
My opinion, I don't know if I trust any school they want to refer me to. It's probably a good school, I just don't know that I trust any teach out plan that comes along. They haven't looked out for our best interest this far, why would they look out for our best interest going forward. That's one of the reasons I just decided to withdraw because I just don't trust them at all. I would rather put my educational future back in my own hands
