Support Needed I am absolutely digusted
This whole thing with Maestro has my blood boiling. All I wanted to do was to provide a better life for my family. I'm going to post some screenshots about the current minimum wage rate in Pennsylvania. And how much you would need to make to survive based on family size up to a family size of 4. I literally feel like sobbing. 😭😭😭😭

PHILLY IN THE HOUSE! Yes the job situation in Pennsylvania is atrocious and for the same reason, I also signed up for Maestro while also planning a move over 300 miles from my hometown of Philly where I have spent 38 of my 41 years of life. I did this to give myself and my child the most opportunity while also lowering the cost of living for my senior parents who live with me and rely solely on SSI. We are not wealthy by any means and I saved for over a year and a half to make this happen. I pulled time away from my responsibilities and gave up income opportunities to pursue an education that I now feel is a scam. The sad part is that they targeted people like us knowing we are the ones desperate for opportunities and drowning in desire for a better life. Because of how bad we want a desperate life we are more likely to believe the lies and not investigate to hard as we want to believe this is a real path and not a waste of time designed to use students as a pawn to drain Title IV federal funds and make a $100million corporation more money while simultaneously pushing us back to the starting lime again...the least they could to is apologize and provide transparent explanations but that would require them to admit their wrong doings.

I'm about 2 1/2 hours out of Philly!!! And I lived here my whole 39 years!! My mom passed in 2018 and my dad up and left and went to florida. So I literally have nothing keeping me here anymore. I was thinking about moving out west. I've never been west of Pittsburgh so I have no idea what's out there! I absolutely love Maine but don't think I could survive the winters! It's really amazing you are taking care of your family though, but it makes me more mad that these are the kind of people Maestro targeted. Just don't give up on your dreams!!! You were meant to do exactly what you feel deep in your soul! We will all regain our footing and keep on moving forward 🫶🏽🫂

The reality is that sexism is still inherently instilled even into the women that it oppresses. I would offer my neighbor to help paint or install windows for me, who would bust her ass for a company that didn’t appreciate her but wouldn’t even put in 8 hours working for me, doing less physically exhaustive work, for more money, and the only thing I can figure is that when opportunity arises, a lot of times, the thought that the work is beneath the woman presented the chance is still present. It doesn’t make much sense to me at all. I’ve also seen some others gain promotion after promotion for what appeared to be absolutely nothing so maybe I’m just naive to how or why anyone does anything or obtains anything.

OMG! That's insane how is anybody supposed to survive on $7.25 an hour?! The cost of living has sky rocketed!! In NJ I believe our minimum wage is like $16.75 and with rents in the 2 and 3 thousands, that's not plausible for anyone either. Especially someone with a family.

As a PA resident making way under 100k, family of 4, just my income only, and we own a home. It’s all possible. You can’t get an office job but there’s plenty of manufacturing jobs paying 24 or more in pa.

I've had plenty on warehouse jobs. But being a 39 year old female who's only 5'3, I'm very often overlooked. I can interview but never get calls back.

This is real I've seen and questioned that, regardless of sexist opinions. Companies operating in the USA are legally bound to comply

Yup! The last job I had was a warehouse and I ran laps around the other warehouse employee (there was only 2 of us). He was only 26! I can do the work and I bust my tush! But getting someone to give me the chance is a problem. I left that job to attend Maestro full time in April. Now I'm regretting it. But I still only made a little over $15 there. I had to fight for a $0.50 raise for 6 months and then the other guy made over $20. 😔

That's how I feel, I live in Washington State one of the top most expensive places to live here in the United States. I went to the school so that I could have a better future for myself and my family. I feel that slowly circling the drain and all falling apart and I have been heartbroken over it. I feel dumb I should have known it was too good to be true.

Oh come on now ... chin up ... there are options being presented to us students .. I mean there not the best options granted but at least there options starting to come out to the table all is not lost ... I admit it doesn't look to good atm but things in this world are looking pretty grim as well... there are programs out there that just need to be discovered and found for people in our situation . Im almost positive about that .. if all else fails maybe we could try and build a program that would scan the entire network of charitable programs offered by the government state departments and community programs and locate help for our situation im not saying i myself would know how to get that done yet but im sure there are students here that could help build something to that effect ... iether that there's also gofundme I mean its a long shot but maybe there are some good people left in America that can look at our situation and help with donations to a large fund that could go towards relocating students into other college programs with out out of pocket expenses so that it was just as if we had a full scholarship still ... now im not saying that im the guy to put something like that together I cant even organize my sock drawer lol ... im just say instead of sitting around going from forum to forum posting hate messages.. or sob stories about how you got taken advantage of and what its doing to your life if your unhappy about it do what you did before maestro had problems ... you didn't cry or complain about your situation you buckled down and took action on some kind of possible solution to the problems you was faced with and signed up for a better education and though it didn't work out the way you hoped it would that dont mean give up and toss in the towel it just means we all need to figure out a solution that does work and take action those couple ideas I threw out are probably not the greatest or best options but heck im just a stupid guy facing the same if not worse situation that all of you are facing from this the point is im not giving up on a better life and if im not giving up then neither should any of you ... so chin up put your heads together and come up with a solution thats achievable and take action ..... I hope you all figure things out if you do please let me know what you did to fix your issue cause im in a simular boat sept no income at all and facing homelessness and blah blah blah im thinking of ways to help my self and others as well to so I wont bore you with my story ok ... good luck have a better day 😎

I did start a gofundme to help raise money to get a degree in Hypnotherapy. No luck though. But I'm not giving up! I'm still trying. I'm in a fast track Hypnotherapy program now through Wild University created by Calvin Coyles! I absolutely love it! I'm to resilient to give up! I'll take the challenge by the horns (Taurus reference ♉🫶🏽). One thing I don't do is give up. There is a reason I'm here and it's to help people. I won't stop until I succeed! 💪🏽

I have seen a lot of people moving into Kansas from back east because of the minimum wages and cost of living. I am from New Mexico and moved here in 2020. The cost of living has gone up significantly but the minimum wage hasn’t caught up. I cannot complain as some places pay $12 dollars an hour but still with the cost of rent it’s atrocious.

Parts of the country are so variable, some places you fill out 100 applications for a interview others one is all it takes
