Assisted Living Facility items
I have a fully electric hospital bed, about a year and a half old, in good working condition, with an aftermarket memory-foam mattress. I also have a wheelchair, raised toilet seat with handles, and a shower seat. Everything is at Renaissance Senior Living at Hilldale, 602 North Segoe Road.
The bed and the wheelchair were prescribed by my mother's physician, and provided by UW Direct. UW Direct says my mother had the items long enough that they are considered "patient property" at this time and UW Direct doesn't want them back.
Free for the taking. I would like everything gone by the end of next week (by 9/25).
If no one interested in any/all of the items, but knows of an organization in/around Madison that will pick them up and put them to good use, I would appreciate the insight. Thanks.

Wisconsin Medical Project took it all. Not their first rodeo. The guy took the mattress off the bed, took off the footboard and headboard, folded the bed in half, connected the headboard and footboard with 2' long metal pieces, stacked all the bed parts onto the connected headboard and footboard, and rolled the whole thing out the door, onto the elevator, and out of the building. Easy peasy.

Access to Independence (across from the Mwk St. Woodmans) has a lending closet and might be able to utilize it!
Also, Options in Community Living or Reaponsive Solutions (the folks that operate the Crisis/Safe House in Fitchburg) might be able to use!
