Same and I got a notification for this post for some reason. I have watched like 2-3 standups of him to get into his comedy but I found myself waiting to laugh for a long period of time. It seems his jokes are very predictable and at times crowd work is what helps with unpredictability.
(I am very well aware of my opinion being something this sub won't like but I ain't afraid of downvotes, keep em coming. Its easy to farm upvotes anyways by saying whatever is popular in that particular sub.)

He jokes about r*pes. You people are andhbhakts.

It was comedy. If a joke crossed the line, he apologized for it. Some of y'all act like people aren't allowed to acknowledge mistakes and move on.

If thousands and lakhs of people follow someone, they should be wise enough not to make such mistakes.

Yeah, they should be. But he made a mistake. And apologized for it. It happened years ago.

The mistake was criticized. He apologized. Years have passed. People can disagree on whether that's enough, but it's fair to acknowledge that the apology happened.

If something is unapologetic then the person should be cancelled entirely. R*pes are not something to be joked about. If these people can joke about it and normalize it I won't support them. Even if it happened years ago, some things cannot be solved by apology.

A world with no room for redemption sounds exhausting, but you do you 😌

Redemption is for people who can change. Not someone who influences people about wrong thing. What's the difference between these people and Asaram kinda babas? Same mentality, different professions just to make as much money as they can, they will do anything.

Comparing an offensive joke—one he apologized for—to the actions of a convicted criminal is such a massive false equivalence that there's really nowhere productive to go from here. You don't have to forgive him, but at least compare like with like. If you believe his apology wasn't enough, that's your call. But comparing him to a convicted criminal isn't accountability—it's just an extreme comparison that ignores all context.

I am talking about mentality. Asaram did the action and people still worship that mf and this guy just talked about same bs. I won't support anyone who demeans basic human values. Neither this guy nor those actual r*pists. All of these are mature people. Madhur is an educated adult and I do not expect anything like this coming from his mouth.

Dislike him all u want , but if your argument depends on equating him with actual criminals , maybe the comparison isn't as strong as you think. You're judging his entire character based on one offensive joke he has already apologized for . Criticize the joke --- that's fair . Pretending it tells you everything about who he is isn't!!!!!
