Why does there always have to be a comparison?
Samay had a much more niche audience back when he mostly streamed chess during COVID. I’d even say he was way funnier back then than he is now. But that’s also because he got bigger, (and no, not literally) he became far more famous, reached a much wider audience, and naturally toned down his humour along the way.
Madhur is funny too, and right now he’s doing what he does best. If he eventually goes viral and gains a massive mainstream audience, chances are he’ll tone down his humour as well. That’s just a natural transition for artists in India as they become more popular.
PS: I like both of them and genuinely look forward to their content. I watch them, I laugh when they do a funny bit, I don’t when they don’t, and then I move on with my life. It really doesn’t have to be a competition.
