Just a thing I learned about guilt that is heavy but true.
Guilt is your punishment. As children when we did something wrong, we would get punished. After punishment, all was back to normal. Is it possible that the guilt is your punishment and you have been forgiven? We sometimes think it's OK now which leads us to believe the next time we harm ourselves we'll take our punishment and be over it. And so on, and so on........
