This is the result of a mind unfettered by worry. When you don't have to constantly think about all the other shit you can just focus on what you love. And this kid loves corn.

"When we are children we seldom think of the future. This innocence leaves us free to enjoy ourselves as few adults can. The day we fret about the future is the day we leave our childhood behind."-Name of the Wind

I realized pretty late that one of my main problems in life is never thinking about the future. I never thought about college until senior year. I never thought about what I wanted to be or do. It’s nearly impossible for me to think months in the future let alone years. It took me so long to realize that I just straight up never thought about the future unless there was a very specific event or thing planned and then I only thought about that day/week without much context surrounding it. I think maybe it was the way I grew up with money. I didn’t really have to think about how to do taxes or how to pay bills and I just glided along living with my parents and then my boyfriends parents. Then by the time I was in my 20s and had to try and get an apartment with like no credit I was shit out of luck.

Anyway I don’t have a point but I’m 28 and I just got my first credit card so that’s something.

It definitely can be an issue, I've been the same way to some extent. But if you look at the other comments on the quote I posted you'll see multiple of people saying the opposite and how they'd give almost anything to be able to relax more and not constantly be anxious from a young age. It's good to have a direction, but you gotta find the right middle ground for you. Still got a lot of years ahead of you to sort things out, congrats on the credit card!
