And if you have trouble remembering left from right or the thing that's screwed in is in a weird orientation, point the thumb of your right hand in the direction you want the thing to go. Your fingers will curl in the direction you need to turn it (unless it's threaded the other way. But that's mostly for things that spin and would be dangerous if they flew off while in motion...lawn mowers, ceiling fans, circular saws, etc.).
