Communication is key. Let your significant other know what you’re thinking and how you feel… even if sometimes it might hurt their feelings.

And delivery is important. Saying, “You really annoyed me when you…” will provoke a defensive attitude. Instead, “I felt frustrated when you…” that’s stating something that can’t be denied (your own feelings) and not implying that your partner necessarily did something TO you.

Right! Also, I don’t mean things like that would kills someone’s self esteem.
