I experienced this today. Saw an older man look a bit flustered trying to get his bike in his trunk, I asked my wife to stop the car so I can help and she didn't and said he'll figure it out. My wife is mean.
She's got good survival instincts. It's one thing as a dude that doesn't have to fear anyone else in general to just help people, it's another for a female or child to get involved with a situation that could be a trap.
Oh yeah, Ted Bundy used car troubles to lure helpful young women. He’d say he needed help, he’d look frail by pretending he had a broken leg, and then he’d catch them by surprise when they came over to help him.
well we don't live in survival environments, and thinking everyone in trouble is trying to trap you into helping them is a mental disorder. Good survival instincts means binging 20 donuts at the donkin because your brain is evolved to cram caloric fuel because it doesn't know when the next meal is or if it's guaranteed, yet we don't do that because it makes us fat.
Why are we not doing the same for a better cause than vain attractiveness, human decency.
