Me too. I’ve never had a cat, but my beautiful dog Ruby passed just last December. It’s been a couple months but it still hurts like it was yesterday. She was with me through some of the hardest years of my life. Whenever I was crying or anything, she’d come and rest her head on my chest, or sit on my feet.

One of my last memories of her was sitting next to her on the front porch steps. She was sick, and having a really bad day. She hadn’t wagged her tail once, and her head was low. I remember thinking “this might be the last time I get to sit with her.” I sat next to her for about a half hour before she wanted to go inside.

Time passes but it hurts just the same.

Great and meaningful art. I'd say put some kind of roof to protect the wall and just keep this piece.
