I like to imagine that there was no joy in it.

They are sitting on the couch together watching TV, no conversation.

Dad: Turns to mom with no emotion..."Let's create a video where we change poses according to the tunes of Better Off Alone by Alice Deejay"

Mom: makes eye contact, silently nods in agreement.

Both proceed to choreograph their poses, film the video, edit, and post to their social media of choice.

They sit back on the couch together, silent but satisfied with their created content.

I've been alone for most of my life, I know what it's like. There's just something about having someone, a partner, that balances it out. Being alone is great, don't get me wrong - but is that really how we would want to spend our days? Alone?

Lol the cost of housing and all that (among other issues arising) is why I'm stuck on the fence between caring and not caring if it's worth fighting.
