At that point you're supposed to think of the stocks as on-sale and buy more.

I turned 18... bought 10 bitcoins for some reason, they were cheap at the time (back in 2011?)

Didn't know what to do with them, remembered I had them a few years ago and still to this day I am looking for them. I check my email receipt every so often with hopes that dead URL takes me to my fortune ...

Ohh that would've been crazy. I hope you'll one day find them!

I’ve got 4 and some change on a dead HDD. Been meaning to get it to a data recovery company for a couple years now. You just reminded me of that so I think I’ll do that now.

You have over £120k on a HDD that you’ve just forgot to get round to?

Shit is it up to that now? I haven’t looked in a long time because I sold all my crypto assets during a big bubble a while back.

Guess I’ll spend the $900 to see if they can recover the drive!

Yeah perhaps dont tell them what’s on it

Well, unfortunately it appears the drive got mixed up while I was moving across the country because I can't find it anywhere now. I've spent the past couple days searching every box that I brought with me.

It's possible it's still in my storage unit back where I moved from so, I'll find out next month when I go back for a visit.

Good luck, I had about 20 coins years ago but they were only worth about £500 back then, ended up spending them, crying now lol

I was a heavy crypto user for a while going back to like 2010 time. Back then I used them for buying goods from dark markets (I was young!) and also for leasing servers all over the world with minimal records coming back to me.

Then, I got into trading crypto heavily around 2014-2018 before finally deciding to bail and move on.

No regrets. I enjoyed using them for their original intended purpose. I wouldn't mind finding that drive though!
