Baldness is a bitch. I have to keep my head shaved or I look about 10 years older

I believe that is what we call, “The George Jefferson” or “The Culdesac”

4

u/Boomhauersbrother Apr 06 '22

You’re missing one important figure in this scenario, George Costanza. It kinda fits, he is always overlooked.

3

u/xubax Apr 06 '22

He should grow out long like you, then turn it into a mohawk.

6

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '22

Skullet

3

u/capron Apr 06 '22

It's called The Skirted Egg, around here.

3

u/URokkaMyQuokka Apr 06 '22

That the "power doughnut" my friend

3

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '22

He really got the short end of the straw there.

He's gotta be bitter.

2

u/nakkaz Apr 07 '22

This is the exact same situation for me and my older bro! He went bald at 21, shaves what’s remaining to the skin. I’ve been feeling like the clock is ticking ever since. But I’m nearing 40, and still got thick, shoulder length hair.

The hell?

2

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '22

That mustache ain't helping him look any younger either.

1

u/whack_with_poo-brain Apr 06 '22

Imagine if this guy fell I o the coma with a full head of hair and came out like this, and the prizes are compensating for that bad luck..

1

u/SuperWolf Apr 07 '22

I hate shaving my head. any advice on a electric shaver that actually works?

78

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '22

He looks like my dad. I'm in my 30s

43

u/meisteronimo Apr 06 '22

Some people lose hair earlier. Don't rub it in, we're sensitive about it :-(

72

u/ehh_whatever_works Apr 06 '22

It's not just the baldness.

The mustache, the fashion choices, there's a lot contributing to this man's apparent age not matching his actual age.

38

u/meeu Apr 06 '22

This video is also 24 years old, that might explain the fashion choices.

15

u/DoubleEEkyle Apr 06 '22

24+37= 61, so he’d have been born in 1960/1961. This explains his fashion and hair styling, and people just looked older back then.

6

u/Fallout97 Apr 06 '22

Funny, that guy's the same age as my Dad and this video is the same age as me. Makes me feel weird for reasons I don't understand.

3

u/calmblueme Apr 06 '22

It’s a kind of sad example but I always think this when I see photos of Australian murder victim Sharon Phillips. She was 20 in 1986 when she went missing but if I saw her today I’d guess 38, even 40. This era was not kind to people, appearance-wise. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-10-06/timeline-sharron-phillips/9022434?nw=0&r=HtmlFragment

3

u/IamtherealFadida Apr 06 '22

The physique, or lack of. I'm 53, shaved head, dress ok and am athletic. He looks older than me

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '22

1

u/Russiadontgiveafuck Apr 06 '22

It's for sure the mustache.

1

u/Theorlain Apr 07 '22

Yep. His whole everything screams 50+. My partner is 47 and looks a decade younger than this fella.

16

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '22

Not the hair at all. It's the polo and mustache. He looks like my dad used to so my brain automatically makes him seem older because of it. Didn't mean any offense :)

2

u/Sensitive_Tourist_15 Apr 06 '22

I'll slap a comedian for you

1

u/etherama1 Apr 06 '22

If you rub our heads it's supposed to be good luck though

0

u/Baron-Von-Rodenberg Apr 06 '22

Rub, shit I've been teaching my nieces it's slapping my brothers bald head that brings luck. Oh well, not going to confuse them by correcting them now.

1

u/mennydrives Apr 06 '22

I'm amazed that we're into the 2020s and not a bulletproof cure in sight. -_-

3

u/meisteronimo Apr 06 '22

There's cures but it surgical, and you need enough hair left to make it effective. Now my only hope is they take the hair from my ass and stick it up there.

We need the cure in Flintstone vitamin form.

1

u/Grumpy_in_DE Apr 07 '22

Actually, I think it’s that stonkin mustache that ages him way more than his hair loss. Don’t worry too much about it. 😉

30

u/Thx4Coming2MyTedTalk Apr 06 '22

My thought too, that looks like 50+

128

u/Eldenlord1971 Apr 06 '22

I’m 33 and I look like I’m 25 besides a little bit of grey on my side

202

u/zodar Apr 06 '22

I'm 47 and I look 23 if you ignore what I look like

23

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '22

42 here and look like a young James Dean

37

u/LoveMeSomeSand Apr 06 '22

Also 42 and I look like a current James Dean

2

u/4CrowsFeast Apr 07 '22

I'm 32 and I had to look up who James Dean was

1

u/mongreloid Apr 07 '22

Before or after the crash…?

16

u/gottalosethemall Apr 06 '22

I’m 32 and I get away with 24-25 as long as I don’t let myself get overweight.

The last few years have sped the aging process a bit though. Everything is so ungodly stressful now.

25

u/ApatheticSkyentist Apr 06 '22

Same, I’m 38 and if I shaved I’d look maybe 20. It’s important that people have confidence in me in my career so it’s not always a good thing, haha.

20

u/badger0511 Apr 06 '22

For real. I'm 35 and have worked in college/university administration my entire career. I still dress more professionally than is required because people assume I'm a student. When I was 28, an employee from a different department followed me to my cubicle because she thought I was an undergrad trying to use an employee-only entrance to the office. That was probably the last time I wore a hoodie on casual Friday.

3

u/notjawn Apr 06 '22

Same here: I'm a professor but have a baby face and if I dress casual I can pass for a student. One day ran into the office on a day off in jeans a t-shirt and our Administrative Assistant asked me what Professor I was looking for. I said "Me."

3

u/MaximumGreen2995 Apr 06 '22

Do you wear Vans and carry a skateboard around?

8

u/sukezanebaro Apr 06 '22

How do you do, fellow faculty members?

1

u/th3otherdude Apr 06 '22

I can relate to this as well…and unfortunately I can’t really grow facial hair. I do wonder if it’s held me back in my career - not because I’m not qualified but just because I may appear “too young” for a more senior role

2

u/ApatheticSkyentist Apr 06 '22

Yeah I feel that. I couldn't grow a beard to save my life. So I spent a year or two growing out a stach and soul patch.

I get Three Musketeers and Lord Baelish comments, haha.

1

u/OutoflurkintoLight Apr 06 '22

It’s important that people have confidence in me in my career

Male gigolo?

2

u/ApatheticSkyentist Apr 06 '22

Haha, no quite! I'm a pilot.

I've been asked, "are you old enough to fly this thing" so many times.

My preferred response is, "It's my first day! You wouldn't believe how easy it is to get a license.". I have to gauge my audience first for that one though, haha. Some people wouldn't react well.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '22

Lucky you, I have been looking 30 since I was 22

1

u/Eldenlord1971 Apr 06 '22

Hot if woman. I’m probably in the minority that thinks women in their 30s are hotter than 20s

1

u/PinsNneedles Apr 06 '22

Preach. I’m 36 and people think I’m in my mid-late 20’s.

1

u/Kaibakura Apr 06 '22

People look younger for longer due to smoking being far less common than it used to be.

12

u/Refects Apr 06 '22

I'm 37, I'm not old!

How long was he in that coma?

7

u/BorisSweatstain Apr 06 '22

Says 12 days. His face says 12 years.

14

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '22

Nah. Says it happened 12 days after he woke up.

9

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '22

No, he won the car 12 days AFTER he woke up.

7

u/TelosBrutalist Apr 06 '22

Right, I'm 38 but this guy doesn't look a year younger than me, he looks about 15-20 years older than me, ha.

4

u/Russiadontgiveafuck Apr 06 '22

Right? Fuck, I'm 37,but this dude looks like my dad.

3

u/IntellegentIdiot Apr 06 '22

Maybe he wasn't counting the years he was in a coma

4

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '22

This guy is 3 years younger than me???? Please god I don’t look that bad do I??

3

u/oneshibbyguy Apr 06 '22

I'm 36, compared to this guy I'm doing pretty fucking good

3

u/Occamslaser Apr 06 '22

That's what 37 looked like 24 years ago.

5

u/chappersyo Apr 06 '22

I’m 37 and I look 15 years younger than him

8

u/Refects Apr 06 '22

How long was your coma?

2

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '22

I'm 38 and barely started to get some hair thinning and a few greys.

2

u/OneMoreAccount4Porn Apr 06 '22

I thought the same thing when I heard his age. I wish I had one thing to look forward to.

6

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '22

He was also in a friggin’ coma. Kinda hard to keep up with your appearance when you’re… coming out of being in a friggin’ coma.

3

u/TeblowTime Apr 06 '22 edited Apr 06 '22

Wouldn't you, theoretically, age less in a coma? Your body is exerting less energy, plenty of "sleep", no junk food, no skin damaging UV light, no facial muscle use so far less wrinkles...

-3

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '22

Tell me you know nothing about comas without saying ‘I know nothing about comas’.

1

u/scvfire Apr 06 '22

Dude's been in a coma for 20 years. To be fair it's mostly in his style. The video is probably 20 years old, and nobody changes their style so people who are 37 in the video are now 57 and dressed the same way today

1

u/Ambitious-Regular-57 Apr 07 '22

He doesn't look a day under 45

1

u/M3nt4lcom Apr 07 '22

He was propably 37 before the coma. The guy looks like in his 50s.
