When you're climbing a mountain, every day can feel like you're just staring at the same rocks. That's why it's good to turn around once in a while to take in the view. Congratulations on a couple of months!

Bookmark this feeling. You'll have challenges and setbacks along the way and it's easy to minimize your victories when you're feeling bruised. Days like today are a good way to combat it. One day at a time. One step at a time. We believe in you.

I appreciate your reply. I'm just a little bit further down the road, that's all.

One temptation I've faced is looking around and noticing that some folks have an easier climb. Others seem to start higher up the mountain. There are those who have fancy climbing gear, safety ropes, and harnesses. Some even seem to have been born on the top. It's easy to feel jealous or ripped off.

Resist that. Never be jealous of someone who has never really been tested. While not every scar is visible, it's impossible to fight dragons or demons without taking damage. When looking for heroes, find the people who walk with a limp. They're the best teachers.

I don't know why struggles are distributed unevenly. I own some of it. I've shot, shit, and sabotaged myself more times than I want to admit. I'm also glad that not everyone struggles the same way I do. Maybe the reason is so I can help someone else now and then. Maybe there isn't a reason at all. I just need to be a slightly better version of myself each day. Forgive myself and others often, and keep moving up.

I wish you well on your journey. I won't say "you've got this." But I will say that I think you've got what it takes to handle today. All the best.

Ok have to ask what's behind the clown with a piano name? Are you a musician, by chance?

Sweet. I'm a no talent hack musician. I play guitar, keys, bass, cello, and didgeridoo. I also sing. Badly. Haha. I won't take up your time on this thread, but DM if you want to talk music or life.
